![]() ![]() By this point, I have every 4*, most of them at high constellations, and I have maybe 1/3-1/2 of the 5*s, including all the starters and every character I've wanted so far. It does take a while to build up a broad and balanced roster, but the difficulty plateaus, so once you have good teams, they tend to stay good indefinitely. When I was playing at launch, I didn't end up with any great team right away, Qiqi was my first 5*, and I was running Chongyun as my main for a month or so, until I was able to get a Ninggaung and Zhongli, and then they became my mains for the next year or so. ![]() A F2P can expect to get 2-4 specific 5*s per year, at least, plus a few more random starter 5*s. What this means is that a F2P or C2P can't get every 5* in the game, but they can at least be guaranteed to get the ones that they want when they become available (other than the starter ones, which really aren't that great anyway). So while the odds of getting them sooner than that are not fantastic, you 100% will get the character you want if you go in with sufficient resources to hit 180 pulls (and, again, you'll spend about half that on average). There is a pity cap at 90 pulls (likely some amount less) at which you get a 5*, and then if that 5* isn't the exclusive one to that banner, you are guaranteed to get them the next time pity comes up. I think you misunderstand how unlocking characters in Genshin works. Genshin's combat is okay, but the fun lies in experimenting with characters who's rarity rating guarantees you won't be getting them even after months of play.
